FAQ Frequently Asked Questions ▾
What is live production and how is it different from filming an event?

Live production involves real-time multi-camera switching, audio mixing, graphics overlay, and often live streaming — all happening simultaneously during the event. Traditional event filming captures footage for post-production editing later. Live production delivers a broadcast-quality finished product in real time.

How many cameras do you typically use for live events?

It depends on the event. A corporate keynote might use 3-4 cameras, while a large conference or concert can require 6-12+ cameras with jib arms, roaming operators, and robotic PTZ cameras. We'll design the right camera plan based on your venue, audience size, and goals.

Can you live stream to multiple platforms at the same time?

Yes. We support simultaneous streaming to YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, LinkedIn, custom RTMP endpoints, and internal platforms like Microsoft Teams or Zoom. We can also create private, password-protected streams for internal audiences.

What is IMAG and do we need it?

IMAG (Image Magnification) projects live camera feeds onto large screens so in-person audiences can see speakers, performers, and presentations up close. If your venue seats more than 200 people or has sightline challenges, IMAG significantly improves the audience experience.

Do you handle audio for live productions?

Yes. We provide full audio engineering including wireless microphones, mixing boards, PA systems, and audio-for-broadcast feeds. We coordinate with venue sound teams or bring our own complete audio rig depending on the production.

What's your coverage area for live production?

We're based in Seattle and cover all of Washington State regularly. We also travel nationally for larger productions — we've produced live events from coast to coast. Travel and logistics are included in our production planning.

How far in advance should we book live production?

For large-scale events (conferences, galas, multi-day productions), we recommend 4-8 weeks minimum. For smaller corporate events or single-camera streams, we can often accommodate 1-2 weeks out. The sooner you book, the more we can optimize the production plan.

Can we get edited highlight reels after the live event?

Absolutely. Most clients pair live production with post-event deliverables — highlight reels, speaker clips, social media cutdowns, and full session recordings. We capture everything in high quality so the content lives on long after the event ends.
